Contessa is a 2009 Holsteiner mare (Contender x Veritas, Esteban) who has successfully competed at every FEI level, including CCI5*-L. She would be an amazing addition to any program, especially for an inspired young rider looking to learn the ropes of international competition or a professional wanting an upper-level horse with more miles in the tank. She is a real firecracker – an absolute machine on the XC and in the stadium. She’s a sensitive mare who needs a capable rider, but she is truly a spectacular athlete. She’s been in our program from the beginning – we imported her in 2014 as a five-year-old thanks to the ownership group, Club Contessa. She’s been meticulously cared and managed throughout her career by our team here at Windurra. She would also make a fabulous 1.30m horse for someone wanting to compete in both eventing and the jumpers and has all of the scope in the world to be a straight jumper as well.
